Date Announced: 01 Feb 2005 Nova Electronics, Inc. has announced the SLWIC3RND, second in a series of new, innovative LED warning signals. These lights are designed to be easily mounted and highly visible. The SLWIC3RND comes as the latest innovation in Nova’s LED line. This warning light uses surface-mounted, high intensity LEDs in an extremely thin, waterproof enclosure and can be mounted to any surface or retrofitted to existing applications. This technology alleviates the need to disfigure vehicle bodies and allows the lights to be mounted in areas which were previously difficult. Featuring the latest in LED technology, the SLWIC3RND contains 56 wide-angle, high intensity OSRAM Power TopLEDs in a novel split array arrangement.. In addition to being brighter than the average strobe, the LEDs have a 100,000 hour rated lifetime. The SLWIC3RND does not require the use of a power supply, as it is completely self-contained; simply connect it to a 12V power source. The SLWIC3RND features 15 patterns as well as a state-of-the-art random pattern selection mode, which can be accessed by a single wire. The SLWIC3RND is made from the toughest material available to withstand any rigorous application abuse. The lens is made of rugged UV- stabilized Polycarbonate and the LED board is made from 1/16 inch thick anodized aluminum. The unit is 100% waterproof! Although the light is durable, the true feature of the light is the extremely thin design; only .343” thick! In addition to being uniquely thin, highly visible and rugged, these lights are also super easy to install; only three wires are required. Not only will this save time, it insures a hassle-free installation. The SLWIC3RND is currently available in amber, red and split amber/red and has a two year factory direct warranty. An optional rubber grommet is available for retrofit mounting.
