Designed as a replacement for the traditional 100-watt incandescent lamp, the ULTRA A19 is dimmable, offers a high color rendering index (CRI) and provides up to 86 percent energy savings when compared to the 100-watt incandescent. The new 14-watt ULTRA LED A19 lamp prototype was developed by OSRAM’s solid state lighting (SSL) advanced engineering team in Regensburg, Germany. “We are delighted at this breakthrough achievement to develop a replacement for the 100-watt incandescent lamp with an incredibly high lumen per watt ratio, high color rendering and the ability to dim”, said Phil Rioux, general manager. “This accomplishment will allow SYLVANIA to round out their family of A19 LED lamps.” The 14-watt SYLVANIA ULTRA LED A19 prototype is an industry breakthrough that delivers both energy and maintenance savings.
