With a background in embedded systems and electrical engineering and now as director of engineering for Lumenpulse, Jon Sarafinas focuses on bringing intelligent solutions and innovative products to market and plays a key role in the development and deployment of Lumenpulse products and technology integrations.
Lumenpulse places a high value on the industrial design and electronics expertise that has enabled the company to innovate and offer more options for sustainable interior and exterior lighting — characteristics that have been made possible by Sarafinas’ firmware and software developments.
His technical understanding of complex challenges paired with his natural leadership capabilities are key skills that have led him to manage cross-functional teams in the United States and Canada. He empowers and encourages others, mobilizing cross-functional teams to action by providing them with clear performance objectives, feedback, and the roadmaps needed to achieve success. Sarafinas also plays an active mentorship role with Northeastern University, his alma mater, for co-op programs recruitment and the cross-training of engineering students to lead projects with key deliverables across multi-functions for their end-of-term projects.
