CARSON, Calif., November 30, 2023 – As the hospitality industry continues to bounce back from the pandemic with new construction hotel openings forecasted on the rise, DMF Lighting, a leading architectural lighting manufacturer of premium modular LED downlighting systems, today announced that it has expanded its hospitality and commercial solutions with the introduction of the M Series Commercial high lumen offering with packages up to 3500 lumens.
From grand outdoor entrances to lobbies, restaurants and guest rooms, the 4-inch aperture M Series Commercial recessed downlighting family meets all site requirements for a wide variety of applications with lumen packages ranging from 750 to 3500, while providing continuity in aesthetics and performance throughout varying ceiling heights.
“With the addition of our new high lumen modules, the design community now has one unique modular family to meet all application needs,” said Ken Czech, vice president of new product development, DMF Lighting. “Our modular design with interchangeable modules, optics and trims, allow for easy serviceability and design changes, as they can be easily swapped onsite from below the ceiling from fixed to adjustable to wall wash.”
The modular design (housing, module and trim) of DMF products is an ideal solution for the hospitality industry as drivers are integrated into the light engine modules versus the housing, so modules, equipped with quick connects, can be easily swapped out with below ceiling access, making serviceability quick and easy. For instance, hotel property managers don’t need to take guest rooms out of service when maintenance is needed, which can impact revenue. The modularity also allows the flexibility when aiming a project and to easily change interior aesthetics for events, holidays or any space redesigns.
The M Series Commercial non-insulated ceiling (IC) housings are offered in round and square apertures. The modules include Fixed Downlight and Adjustable (360-degree rotation and 40-degree tilt) and the tool-less field-interchangeable optics include 15-, 25-, 40-, 60- and 90-degrees distributions. Color temperatures include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and Warm Dim (3000K – 1800K) and Tunable White (4000K – 1800K and 6500K – 2700K) choices with a 93+ color rendering index.
Trims are meticulously engineered to provide precise performance and are offered in Standard, Hyperbolic, Pinhole, Wall Wash, Flangeless and Decorative choices. Trims are wet painted for a rich, matte finish in a choice of White, Black, Bronze, Clear Diffused, Warm Diffused or custom color (RAL).
The M Series Commercial family is available with 0-10 volt dimmable drivers for dimming down to 1% and dimming down to 0.1% with DALI-2 drivers for the rapidly growing Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) lighting control protocol.
Featuring a sustainable design, the downlighting system is ENERGY STAR® and RoHS compliant and Declare Listed for Living Building Challenge and LEED projects. The downlights are Wet Location Listed and NSF/ASNI 2 Splash Zone Safe Listed for kitchens.
