Strategies in Light Europe packaged LED technology presentation needs your help

Oct. 26, 2016
As Maury Wright prepares for his presentation at Strategies in Light Europe, he asks: Is there an angle on the packaged LED sector that you think I should investigate?

I have the privilege of presenting a talk at the upcoming Strategies in Light Europe conference on packaged LED advancements. I have planned out much of the presentation. My theme will be evolution of high- and mid-power LED technology to solve specific needs of the lighting community. There are LEDs specialized for most every application these days. Lumileds even introduced an LED family that includes different products with spectral power distribution (SPD) tuned for specific areas of a grocery store.

I also plan to cover the breadth of mid-power LEDs emerging on the scene. But I will also point out applications and LEDs where high power is still the rule of the day. Moreover, the package itself is a big part of the story, especially with the evolution of chip-scale package (CSP) LEDs.

But my purpose here wasn't so much to tell you what I know I will cover. Rather, I'd like to ask for your input. I still have a little time to complete my research for the presentation. Is there an angle on the packaged LED sector that you think I should investigate? I welcome your insight and guidance. Email me at [email protected].

There’s still time to register for Strategies in Light Europe (Nov. 23-24, 2016), co-located with LuxLive and lightspace dot london. View the full program of industry speakers and leading-edge topics now.
