ADI installs new outdoor LED screen at Southside Wandsworth for retail advertising

ADI have added another major shopping centre to their client list as one of the five biggest shopping centres in London, Southside Wandsworth has unveiled a new outdoor LED screen which is set to engage shoppers and passing traffic with commercial and engaging content.

LED screen and digital signage specialists ADI have been contracted by joint centre owners Land Securities plc and Metro Shopping Fund to install the 30m² screen which sees the organisation combine its expertise in high impact outdoor and shopping centre screens.

A market leader in shopping centre installations, ADI have already installed over 15 LED screens at centres across the country. The high resolution 10mm screen at Southside sees the organisation build on its experience of offering custom solutions in a range of locations.

ADI’s in-house team provided a full consultancy service to Southside ensuring the screen meets the demands of the outdoor location whilst maximising value for advertising brands.

The screen is located on a brand new extension of the centre, so ADI began working with Southside at early project design stage in advance of construction. This involved working closely with the main contractor to seamlessly integrate the screen with their design and then manage installation around their project construction programme.

As well as manufacture and installation, ADI engineered and manufactured the entire structure and will provide ongoing support and maintenance. The screen itself uses ADI’s proprietary Virtuality brand of LED screen, which has proven hugely popular across other key retail and sporting locations throughout the UK and ensures the centre receive a guaranteed high level of support throughout the lifetime of their investment.

While ADI will continue to work with Southside to maintain the screen, content is managed by the centre’s chosen media partner, allowing the centre them to realise the commercial value outside of the building.

Like ADI’s other shopping centre customers, Southside Wandsworth have chosen to invest in the asset themselves rather than allow a third party agency to own and operate the screen. Proven in installations across multiple UK shopping centres, ADI’s model enables centres to demand a far greater share of advertising revenues, allowing them to extract far greater value across the lifetime of their investment, which is typically between 8 to 10 years.
