New LED displays installed at each end of the facility
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Tucson Convention Center and the City of Tucson, Arizona, asked Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to manufacture two new LED video displays that were installed late in 2014. The new true high-definition main LED display is mounted in the south end of the facility and an auxiliary display located in the north end.
“We are grateful to Daktronics for the high quality of the video boards,” said Fletcher McCusker, Chairman, Rio Nuevo Tax District. “These are state-of-the-art, high-definition video boards capable of everything from video to scoreboard displays. The Arena has never enjoyed this kind of technology and it has helped us improve the fan experience.”
The main LED video display measures 15.5 feet high by 28 feet wide and features a true high-definition resolution with a 6 millimeter line spacing to provide crisp, clear imagery. The auxiliary display, also featuring a 6 millimeter line spacing, measures more than 7 feet high by 13.5 feet wide. Both displays feature wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat in the venue.
Both LED video displays feature versatile content zoning allowing for one large image on the entire display face to highlight live video and instant replays. These displays can also be separated into multiple zones to show any combination of statistics and scoring information, graphics and animations, advertising and sponsor content, and other relevant messaging information.
“We’re excited to bring a true high-definition video display to the Tucson Convention Center,” said Brady Jacobsen, Daktronics sales representative. “Both displays working together in this venue are sure to elevate the experience of any event and we’re proud to have a hand in providing their customers with an overall entertainment destination.”
Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
