Sunovia Energy Technologies, a maker of LED lighting products based in Sarasota, FL, has announced that it has received certification from the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) for its EvoLucia LED cobrahead and shoebox fixtures in the Outdoor Pole/Arm-Mounted Area and Roadway Luminaires category.
EvoLucia's fixtures are designed with the company’s Aimed Optics platform, which creates uniform light at ground level using directed LEDs as opposed to competitive approaches that bend the light through a light-bar system. A key advantage to DLC certification is customer and supplier access to incentives from state and utility energy programs.
David Martin, vice president of engineering stated, "The Design Light Consortium has established a set of performance requirements for luminaire manufacturers that are not covered by the Energy Star requirements. This has led to higher quality LED lighting products being created which demonstrate improved electrical performance, improved uniformity in photometric characteristics, and a more stringent definition of product lifetimes."
ILT LED lighting products are DLC listed
International Light Technologies (ILT), a manufacturer of light measurement systems and LED-based lighting products, has announced that its CaseLight and CanopyLight product lines are now listed on the DesignLights Consortium's (DLC) Qualified Products List (QPL).
The DLC Qualified Products List is used internally by energy-efficiency program administrators to determine if specific LED products qualify for program rebates.
The products on the QPL include two versions of ILT CaseLight LED refrigerated display case lighting fixtures, including vertically-oriented and horizontally-oriented LED fixtures. In addition, the ILT CanopyLight LED retrofit kits allow replacement of metal halide fixtures in gas-pump canopies with no need to cut the canopy during fixture replacement.
