Enfis extends distribution network with three new agreements

July 6, 2007
LED array supplier Enfis has signed agreements with Pacer International Ltd, Mobicon Group and Roithner Lasertechnik.

Enfis UNO light engine Enfis, the UK-based manufacturer of intelligent high-power LED arrays and smart light engines, has announced multiple deals to expand both breadth and depth of its distribution and integration network.

Deals with Pacer International Ltd, Mobicon Group and Roithner Lasertechnik complement Enfis' existing network of global catalogue suppliers such as RS Components, Farnell-in-One and Digi-Key, plus a number of specialist distributors worldwide.

The network, combining global catalogue suppliers with regional value-added distributors and integrators, will enable users of solid-state lighting technology worldwide to access and integrate Enfis’ technology quickly, easily and cost-effectively.

The deals have been agreed in time to support the launch of multiple new products scheduled for the second half of 2007 as well as to support current demand.

Pacer International Ltd
Pacer International Ltd is a sophisticated integrator and a specialist supplier of optoelectronics, display and laser solutions and is also one of the largest integrators in the UK. It also has offices in the United States. Under the terms of the agreement, Pacer will both supply Enfis’ products and integrate them into their custom optoelectronic solutions.

Shaun Oxenham, CEO of Enfis, said "Seeing our strategy move to the next level is important for the success of the company. Integrators such as Pacer accelerate LED adoption in the industry through a large variety of optoelectronic components. We are very excited that the LED technology is making its appearance in more forms of equipment.”

Graham Rothon, Managing Director of Pacer International, added, "Pacer's strategy is to align with leading technology partners in high growth markets. We fuel mutual growth by offering both off-the-shelf solutions ready to plug in, and bespoke or application-specific solutions using our Design Centre capability.

"The Enfis light engines and arrays tick every box in helping us address the challenges of solid-state lighting and many other diverse applications in industrial, medical, scientific and aerospace markets," added Rothon.

Mobicon
Mobicon will promote and market Enfis’ light engine solution to its existing and new customer groups in Asia, especially government, lighting designers, contractors and luminaire manufacturers focusing on energy saving and environmental friendly applications.

Mobicon will also provide lighting system recommendations and total solutions to solve immediate market needs. Enfis plug-n-play light engine systems have further shortened development time and risk, providing quicker time to market.

"Mobicon is a major distributor in Asia with over 5,000 customers in 73 countries and its experience will be invaluable to helping further develop sales in the region," said Oxenham.

"The market for LED light engines is growing rapidly as traditional lighting systems are facing environmental legislation and restrictions around the world," said Ms Beryl Young, CEO of Mobicon. "Given the quality of Enfis’ products, the company is becoming a core part of supplying products to meet this increased demand."

Roithner Lasertechnik
Enfis has signed a European distribution agreement with Roithner Laser, a leading high-technology distributor. Roithner Laser is a well known Austrian distributor specialising in optical components such as diodes, lasers, LEDs and filters. They will be representing Enfis’ products throughout Europe, concentrating on Austria and Germany.
