The technology industry is replete with success stories of very young entrepreneurs, going back at least to the founding of Hewlett-Packard in a Palo Alto, CA garage — the event widely considered as the birthplace of Silicon Valley. Andreas Kreuss got off to a very young start, surprising his parents by doing research on LED technology as a teen and founding LED Technics Germany at 18 in the basement of his parents’ home. He was driven, he said, by the realization that the world would need efficient and environmentally-friendly lighting long before German and European customers would recognize the need.
The still young and growing enterprise managed by Kreuss has produced several notable products including the Soldus family of spotlights. Moreover, the company has a fluorescent tube retrofit line called Click2Fix. Kreuss has developed business relationships ranging from car dealerships to commercial airports to commercial businesses across Europe.
