LuxTech foretells the future of SSL is human-centric lighting

Sept. 8, 2017
At the Lighting for Health and Wellbeing Conference, LuxTech’s Greg Yeutter and chief editor Maury Wright discuss the future of solid-state lighting (SSL) as being human-centric lighting (HCL) that responds and enhances the ambience of spaces for specific experiences. Yeutter says tunable lighting is catching on in the LED market, warm-dimming is delivering on the positive, pleasing qualities of conventional illumination, and 90 CRI or more is where the company sees itself making a design impact next. The company’s focus on advanced LED drivers is expected to translate into new tunable LED light engines that will help accelerate penetration of this application into the lighting market.
