Daniel Weiss

System Architect, Dynamic Lighting

Daniel Weiss is the System Architect for Dynamic Lighting at Acuity Brands and directs the development of Warm Dimming, Tunable White, and Tunable Spectrum systems. Using his background in controls and color science, he leads the implementation of control protocols and luminaire firmware to execute the Dynamic Features. Prior to joining Acuity, Weiss received an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Applied Physics from Emory University. He also worked as a theatrical lighting designer for theaters around Atlanta designing the lighting for musicals, plays, and concerts.
