Daktronics acquires UK scoreboard company

LED display manufacturer Daktronics has acquired European Timing Systems (ETS) of Bristol, England.
European Timing Systems is a leading provider of scoreboards and timing systems for cricket, aquatics and rugby in the United Kingdom. The company will operate as Daktronics. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Seth Hansen, VP of sports systems at Daktronics said that the acquisition is important to Daktronics' expansion into the European market. "ETS has an excellent reputation of providing quality service," he said. "We are excited to be able to provide additional products to existing ETS customers, and provide even better service to existing Daktronics customers in the United Kingdom."

"Together, our offices in England and Germany should be able to share resources to help grow our business in Europe," said Hansen, who is also responsible for Daktronics international sales and service operations.

Daktronics has strong leadership positions in, and is one of the world's largest suppliers of, electronic scoreboards, computer-programmable displays, large screen video displays and control systems.
