Focused on the market introduction of solid-state lighting, the DOE workshop is scheduled for late January 2007.
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced that its 2007 workshop on solid-state lighting will be held January 31-February 2 in Phoenix, Arizona.

The workshop is focused on building partnerships and strategies that will help to accelerate technology advances and guide market introduction of high efficiency, high-performance solid-state lighting products.

The DOE says that invited experts in lighting design, manufacturing, and venture capital will share varied perspectives on the rapidly evolving SSL market.

Also, DOE-funded researchers will discuss technology advances and future priorities that will guide upcoming solicitations.

In addition, government and non-government energy efficiency programs will share insights, lessons learned, and ways to move SSL to market.
