Day 2 of Strategies in Light Europe began with a strong Plenary session, featuring contributions from the European Commission, Philips, the International Energy Agency and Osram. Subsequently, the main conference program split into parallel tracks on Market Transformation and Technology.

Meanwhile, the exhibit hall in Milan was packed with attendees representing 51 countries throughout the world. Over 900 participants registered for the conference and exposition.

Klaus Reinartz, Director of Global LED Program at Bayer MaterialScience stated, “This is our second year exhibiting at Strategies in Light Europe and we were quite pleased with the traffic and the content throughout the conference. We have already rebooked our space and look forward to exhibiting in Munich next year.”

First-time exhibitor Khatod, was also pleased with the quality of the audience. Marina Rossi, the company’s Marketing and Communications Manager stated, “We were surprised at the quality and international diversity of the audience here in Milan. We initially were not planning to exhibit because we felt the audience would only be local attendees; however we met with many people outside of Italy that truly understand the technology and sophistication required in

today’s applications. For Khatod, this is the type of customer we want, due to our unique ability to manufacture from design conception to finished product in our facility based in Milan.”

According to Christine Shaw, Senior VP of Strategies in Light Europe, “Although we still have one more day, we are pleased to hear how happy many of our exhibitors are. In fact, over 60% have already rebooked and plan to exhibit with us in Munich next year. We look forward to expanding our show into Europe, as this is a very important market for us.”
