Cundall expands lighting design offering to Asia

International multi-disciplinary consultancy Cundall has appointed Oscar Lee to lead their new lighting design discipline in Asia.

Oscar has a number of years’ experience in lighting design and has recently completed a sabbatical to pursue a Master’s degree in Lighting Design and LED Technology at Politecnico di Milano in Italy. Oscar will be based in the Hong Kong office from which we will deliver projects across the Asia region.

Cundall Light4 consists of an experienced and proactive team who each bring a unique element to the field of lighting design and technology. From interior designers to light artists to modellers, the team has the ability to realise every element of lighting design and co-ordinate with other architecture and engineering disciplines.

The groups ethos is all about looking forward at new design trends and technologies and using that knowledge to improve the lit environments they create. Light4 focus on Landscape Lighting Design, Interior Lighting Design, Designing for Daylight and Lighting Control Design in the office, hotel, retail and public realm sectors.

Cundall has been established in Asia for over eight years providing building services engineering and sustainable design and this year sees the launch of lighting design. The success of their lighting designers department in the UK, has seen many innovative projects being successfully delivered, winning and been shortlisted for a number of Lighting Awards. Following this success, Cundall has made a strategic decision to expand this offering to the Asian market, to add value to their existing clients and secure further work.

Oscar has spent five months based in the UK, working alongside the Light4 team, to understand Cundall’s approach to lighting design that combines creativity, functionality, sustainability and ultimately repeat clients .
