SIRECLED provides the LED luminaires for the first large scale tunnel lighting project in Greece.

Oct. 22, 2018

The top quality STLM LED tunnel luminaires that are manufactured by SIRECLED have been selected and are already in the installation process in Patras bypass tunnels. This project consists of 12 tunnels of a total length of 5,117 meters.

These particular LED light fixtures were designed with CounterBeam technology.  This technology utilizes high precision directional lenses, the result being that the light  beam aims exactly where it is required, in contrast to the associated limitations of the conventional technology.  With CounterBeam design, excellent light dispersion is achieved while the energy saving percentage reaches a maximum of 72% in comparison to previous consumption.  These results  were measured, verified and certified by the National  Technical University of Athens (NTUA).  The STLM LED light luminaries, are entirely manufactured from heavy duty materials and components, suitable for the adverse tunnel environment.

This installation adds another high-standard LED lighting project to those already delivered by SIRECLED HELLAS SA.

SIRECLED entered the Greek market four years ago as a result of an acquisition that was initiated by the PE firm Vectis Capital  and supported financially by a group of profound Greek businessmen.

With the acquisition of the Italian SIRECLED SRL and its relocation in Greece, SIRECLED HELLAS established new production facilities in Krioneri  of Attica, while the company maintains an R&D  Centre in Modena, Italy.   Ever since, the company has accomplished important lighting projects for industries, warehouses,  big box retail chains, municipalities, athletic installations, tunnels etc. Its products are designed and manufactured for heavy duty professional applications. Energy savings up to 80% can be obtained and remote management application hardware and software can be incorporated where ever it is required.
