Endicott Research Group Inc. announced Scott Barney as the new President. Barney, formerly the VP of Sales & Marketing, will now be stepping up to take over the operations side of the company, focusing on improving production lead time, product fulfillment, and an execution of an expanding SSL product strategy.
Barney has been with ERG lighting for over 27 years and has worked his way up from Inside Sales, to Regional Sales Manager, to Director of Sales, and most recently Vice President of Sales. “It isn’t an uncommon sight to see Scott across the building putting out fires from engineering all the way to shipping, so him moving up to the position of President seemed the natural avenue for ERG,” said Adam Szelkowski, Marketing Manager at ERG Lighting. “Throughout his time with Endicott Research Group he has become the “go-to” guy when it comes to many facets of the company, even outside his realm of sales, and that experience will certainly help across the board.”
“I really am looking forward to what we have coming down the pipeline,” said Barney. “With the recent infusion of talent, mixed with the hard working folks who have been here for years, I feel confident that we are going to start making big strides as a company, especially on the SSL side.” When asked about how he will handle both the transition of responsibilities and the company as a whole Scott said, “the best thing about my situation is the environment at ERG is positively changing and we have the management personnel and support teams to continue to drive the company’s growth for years to come. I know all of the different pieces of the company and industry intimately, now I have the opportunity to put that knowledge to full use for the betterment of ERG.”
