Ledison Illuminates the Best Value Brand of Cars at New MG Dealership in Coventry

Coventry, Warwickshire, UK - January 11th, 2022 - Ledison Lighting has helped a new MG car dealership in Coventry showcase its range of quality cars by supplying an entire range of some of the most advanced LED lights. To meet the brief, the LED lighting company embraced a range of challenges, including how to protect nesting birds in trees around the car park and how to illuminate the dealer’s carwash canopy.

Ledison’s lighting solutions for the showroom, service area, office and outdoor areas enhance safety, save valuable energy, include features such as Bluetooth connectivity to make life easier for staff, and are incredibly long-lasting with up to 60,000-plus hours life expectancy.

Design engineers specify which lighting systems comply with showroom standards for the car industry, and a minimum of 550 lux is required on the floor where new cars are displayed. With this in mind, the showroom of the MG car dealership is illuminated by Ledison’s ultra-modern Attica LED Trunking System.

Using fittings designed to be linked together to create a bespoke LED lighting system, Ledison created two large squares of lights for the showroom with a total length of 57 metres. As a result, Ledison technicians achieved a contemporary design that secures uniform lighting across the showroom with no dark areas. In addition, the Attica lighting system has an integrated daylight sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness according to the level of available natural daylight.

In the workshop, Ledison installed modern 150W LED SOFOS bay lights. Staff can dim the Bluetooth-enabled lights from a tablet or mobile, or switch them off during the day, to benefit from energy savings. And in the offices, Ledison provided the ultra-bright light staff wanted by installing its best-selling fire-rated LED Panel Lights with luminous efficacy of 140lm/watt. At the same time, Ledison secured very low energy consumption for the automotive dealership at 30kWh per 1,000 hours.

For emergency lighting, Ledison installed emergency exit lighting and Olympia Electronics Power Lights Twin Spot 3-Hour Emergency LED Lights, which provide three hours of non-maintained operation on battery power in the event of a mains power failure. In the offices, 3W LED Emergency Spot Lights are embedded in the ceiling. Emergency modules store backup energy in lithium-ion batteries for operation in an emergency.

Outside the dealership, technicians installed 60W Hyperion LED Street Lights. The industry-leading range of lights features an innovative aerodynamic design and a light, slim, wind-resistant profile. Best of all, the soft warm white colour they emit will not disturb the birds nesting in the car park area.

Finally, Ledison provided lighting for the outdoor car wash canopy. The Non-Corrosive LED Fittings are IP65 rated for wet outdoor applications, certified and accredited, and provide a lifespan of over 60,000 hours.

'We were delighted to be able to help the dealership show off their range of iconic, sporty cars to look their very best', said a spokesperson for Ledison. 'We were able to use our 15 years experience to come up with solutions that comply with showroom standards and save energy and money'.
