Circontrol and Saba improve urban mobility in Barcelona with LED lighting and car parking management

Saba Barcelona chooses Circontrol to optimize the facilities of its car parks

Circontrol, manufacturer of solutions for efficient parking, joins its efforts with Saba, reference operator in the field of parking and urban mobility. Circontrol has collaborated with Bamsa (public-private Company that links Saba and Barcelona City Council) in the design of an innovative proposal to improve the efficiency of the management of its parking and the mobility of urban centers.

To date, the Circontrol seating system has been installed in 7 Saba car parks in Barcelona: Urgell (404 seats), Gal•la Placídia (307 seats), Paral•lel (268 seats), Cambó -Mercat Sta. Caterina (590 places), Rambla Catalunya (299 places), Diputació (548 places) and Passeig de Gràcia (III) (611 places).

The great differentiation in these car parks is the installation in each square of a new system of LED lighting of very low consumption and great luminosity that improves the perception of comfort and security of the user when he is leaving or picking up his vehicle. At the same time this complementary illumination allows to turn off some lines of fluorescents maintaining an adequate level of illumination with a saving of the electrical consumption.

Circontrol not only offers a lighting system, its proposal offers a comprehensive and integrated solution for efficient parking management through its CirPark Platform software, which includes charging points for electric vehicles.

The guiding system has LED panels that show in real time the number of free spaces for each floor and in the corridors and help the Saba user to quickly and easily find a free space. This contributes to saving the driver's time and expense of fuel as well as reducing the emission of gases inside the car park while maintaining air quality.

The parking operator also has daily, weekly and monthly reports that collect detailed information regarding the rotation and occupation. This information is of great help to improve the mobility management and the parking user service.
