Forest Lighting, the USA division of global LED manufacturing leader MLS, announced it has received certification from The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF International) covering its LED T8 tube lamps. Forest Lighting LED T8 tube lamps may now be specified and installed in sanitary locations including food products manufacturing facilities, food preparation kitchens, and food serving areas. Specifically, the LED T8 tubes meet the stringent requirements of “NSF/ANSI Standard 2- Food Equipment.”
Forest Lighting NSF Certified 12W and 19W T8 LED tube lamps are available in 2-foot and 4-foot models, and in four color temperatures: 3000K, 4100K, 5000K, and 6000K. Lumen output ranges from 1200 to 1900, and they are rated for 50,000 hours.
“Our customers in the food industry are telling us how pleased they are with this achievement, and that they are looking forward to cost savings in both energy and maintenance… along with improved color of light in their food operations,” said Jian Ni, chief operating officer of Forest Lighting.
