Neo-Neon receives China Invention Patent relating to LED Neon-Flex

Date Announced: 03 Feb 2007 Neo-Neon has been recently granted China Invention patent number ZL 2004 1 0032066.5, the patent was granted on January 17, 2007, with a filing date of March 31, 2004. The patent describes a light string comprising a core made of soft material and having multiple axial holes defined in one side of the core, two connection wires received in the other side of the core to be opposite to positions of the axial holes. Multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs) respectively received in the axial holes and connected to the two connection wires for electrical connection with another, a scattering body is placed on top of the core and the LEDs, for scattering light beams from the LEDs and a cladding enclosing the scattering body and the core and having an arcuate top face for emission of light beams of the LEDs.Keith Lam, VP of Neo-Neon, mentioned this patent in a letter to customer: "We are pleased to announce that we have upgraded our patent status from 'Structural Category' to 'Invention Category'.
