Luminit announces orders from multiple manufacturers of recessed can lights

Date Announced: 04 Oct 2007 Torrance, CA -– Luminit announced today that it has received orders for its symmetrical diffusers from multiple manufacturers of LED-based recessed "can" lights used in offices and residences.Energy saving initiatives are driving customers to look for alternatives to incandescent based lighting solutions. Since LEDs consume up to 85% less energy than conventional light sources, last up to greater than 30,000 hours and contain no mercury, they appear to be the preferred alternative light source. Lighting designers have strict requirements on transmission efficiencies and output angular control of these new lights. Luminit's circular diffusers are assisting these designers with diffusers that have high transmission (up to 92%), precise angular control (angles from 1° to 95°) and large acceptance angles.
