Date Announced: 18 Oct 2007 Aachen, Germany – AIXTRON AG has announced that one of Taiwan's largest manufacturers of high brightness LEDs, HUGA Optotech Inc., achieved an outstanding output and excellent performance with its recently acquired AIXTRON MOCVD system.With AIXTRON’s support, HUGA has been able to quickly qualify the reactor, shortly after installation and qualification at HUGA’s facility in Taichung Industrial Park, Taiwan. It is now fully operational and has underpinned the company's success in meeting a huge rise in orders from its customer base. HUGA is using several AIXTRON Group reactors for the production of blue and green high brightness GaN-based LED epiwafers. Sybil Yang, President of HUGA Optotech Inc., said: “We are very pleased with the performance of our AIXTRON MOCVD tools and the comprehensive and professional support provided by AIXTRON’s local team, as well as its factories.
