Date Announced: 23 Jan 2007 LED LINEAR announces the product launch of a flexible Power-LED-Module with an output of 2,500 lm. The German manufacturer LED LINEAR has commenced production of its newest product, VarioLED Flex SOL. This enables, for the first time, new luminaire and lighting concepts in the area of general illumination. VarioLED Flex SOL obtains a luminous flux of 2,500 lm in the white, as well as 1900 lm in the warm-white version. Based on FPC-technology (flexible printed circuit), the flexible LED-Module is mounted with 144 power LEDs (0.5 W each). Very high efficiency with simultaneously extreme lifetime was achieved by a superior thermal design. The LED-Module is only 3 mm thick and 4 meters long, and can be split into shorter units at 24 predefined places according to requirements. Its self-adhesive and thermally leading rearside saves installation time and costs.A voltage supply of 24V DC considerably simplifies the integration into illumination concepts and luminaries. VarioLED Flex SOL is part of the VarioLED Flex product family that consists of 20 different types for various kinds of applications. It includes versions with monochrome LED and multicolor / RGB-LED, side-emitting LED and also humidity-protected versions for outdoor installations like VarioLED Flex Outdoor (IP67). After having already successfully placed and established its product range in the German- speaking European markets, LED LINEAR is now focusing on the UK and US market working on the identification of suitable distribution partners.
