Cocor Shopping Centre chooses Daktronics to provide LED video displays

Date Announced: 02 Aug 2007 BROOKINGS, S.D. – Cocor Shopping Centre in Romania has chosen Daktronics Inc. (Nasdaq-DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., and Daktronics GmbH of Wiesbaden, Germany to design, manufacture and install LED video screens on the façade of the mall. The project is valued at $3.6 million.“Daktronics is excited to work with the Cocor Shopping Centre on this innovative project,” said Carlos Verez, International Sales for Daktronics GmbH. “This project will be a large accomplishment for us and we hope that our relationship with Cocor lasts well into the future.”Two displays will be installed on the front of the building, one measuring 6.6 meters high by 11.7 meters wide. The other, largest display on the building will be 23.4 meters high by 11.7 meters wide. Both of the displays will incorporate full-color pixels on 23 millimeter center-to-center spacing.On the side of the building, five two-sided LED displays with pixels on 16 millimeter spacing, measuring 5.0 meters high by 3.2 meters wide, will be installed. Another display will be installed on the side of the building measuring 3.6 meters high by 20.4 meters wide, with pixels on 46 millimeter spacing.All of the displays will feature ProStar® technology, and will use the latest in red, green and blue (RGB) LED technology to present live and recorded video images, colorful animation and vivid graphics with incredible brightness and wide-angle visibility. ProStar® technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come. The display system will provide complete flexibility for the Cocor Shopping Centre to present nearly unlimited images and information, which will create customer excitement and promote the building and advertisers.The new displays will be operated with Daktronics proven Venus® 7000 controller and V-Link® video processor.About Cocor Shopping CentreS.C.
