Infinilux introduces patent pending, true SSL-based incandescent replacements

Aug. 6, 2007
Date Announced: 06 Aug 2007 -- Infinilux Introduces Patent Pending, True SSL Based Incandescent Replacements powered by the Latest Cree XLamp® LED Technologies.-- The new P-Series of Solid State Lamp (SSL) based incandescent replacements are one of the industry’s first true alternatives to standard incandescent light bulbs and are available in the lighting industry standard warm, soft and cool/neutral white colors.Rancho Dominguez, Ca, August 7th, 2007 - Infinilux, announces the introduction of the patent pending Infinilux series of PAR4 incandescent replacement lamps powered by the latest Cree XLamp LED technologies, including the newly announced 7090 XR-E series LED capable of producing 100 lumens per watt. These new lamps are “drop-in” replacements for many standard commercial, industrial and consumer light bulbs such as the standard 50-watt PAR36 flood lamp typically found in recessed light fixtures and outdoor motion detection / security lights. Unlike previous SSL version of PAR style lamps, the new Infinilux lamp is available in a wide range of white color temperatures including traditional 3300K CCT warm white, 4500K CCT soft white and European 6500K CCT cool white. (Decorative colors are also available form stock in red, green, amber and blue). Aside from a life expectancy ten to twenty times greater than traditional incandescent and comparable compact florescent lamps, a power savings of 90% can be expected, allowing the Infinilux PAR lamp to provide a complete return on investment (ROI) within a one to three year window. (Based upon replacing a 50-watt lamp, energy costs of $0.15 per kW-hr and a typical 11 hour on / 13 hour off schedule). The “green” nature of this technology combined with the reduction of traditional maintenance costs creates a win-win for both the environment and the consumer. Infinilux LED bulbs are 100% RoHS compliant and unlike many competing technologies do not contain lead, mercury or cadmium reducing waste management issues for end users as well. The series in available in three basic configurations, a 3 XLamp LED version for general, accent and decorative applications such as display cases, perimeter and garden lighting that is equivalent to a 10-20 watt incandescent lamp and a 6 XLamp LED version that is designed for general lighting / illumination applications and has equivalent outputs to a 35-50 watt incandescent lamp. The P3 series is available is a 100 degree flood output while the P4 series is available in two standard output beam configurations including a 100-degree flood, 30-degree spot/flood. (Other custom outputs are available; please contact the factory for details). The P3 series draws a maximum of 3.6 watts while the P4 series draws a maximum of 7.2 watts. The entire P-Series is environmentally sealed for outdoors applications and is suitable for any installation were a traditional incandescent flood style lamp would be used. The housing and lenses are molded from a UL 94V-0 rated polymer blend that will assure years of exposure to the elements without degrading cosmetically or structurally. The Infinilux PAR series is UL and cUL recognized and listed with both organizations as meeting their stringent standards for safety and reliability.Anthony Vilgiate, Infinilux Vice President said, “The InfiniLED spent over a year in development and has gone through countless tweaks and revisions before our engineering team felt it could truly be called an ‘Incandescent Replacement’. Our driver efficiency combined with a state-of-the-art Infinilux light engine has allowed us to once again raise the bar for the Solid State Lighting industry”. Vilgiate added, “I have personally been using the Infinilux bulbs in our Colorado offices as primary lighting. The light is natural and very comfortable to work by.” Infinilux P-Series lamps are immediately available from stock with standard pricing starting at under $60 per lamp in consumer quantities (P3-350-USNCW).
