Lighting Science introduces Factor 4 LED luminaire with networking
Satellite Beach, Florida, May 11, 2010 – Continuing it’s campaign to democratize ultra-efficient LED lighting, Lighting Science Group will unveil at LightFair International 2010 an affordable breakthrough in commercial lighting technology—Factor 4. Built in the USA, the highly efficient 7x7x3 inch form factor is a quarter of the size and weight (8 lbs.) of conventional lighting products. Truly a breakthrough in sustainable lighting design, the Factor 4 luminaire is 75% more efficient than conventional lighting technology while providing equivalent light output. Furthermore, with optional built-in WiFi/mesh network capability, Factor 4 luminaires can be constantly monitored and controlled using a central network—saving maintenance time and energy cost. Today’s announcement comes on the heels of the Lighting Science Group’s successful launch of a breakthrough line of high quality, affordable retrofit LED lamps with a suggested retail price starting below $20.
