Date Announced: 20 May 2010 The Optoelectronic Systems business unit of the Jenoptik Optical Systems division has presented present components and modules for illumination applications at the Light+Building in Frankfurt/Main.For many years, the Optoelectronic Systems business unit has been a reliable supplier of polymer-based components and modules for renowned providers of illumination solutions. Especially LED-based lighting applications require more and more beam shaping optics for a precise light control. Starting with development of components and modules through mass production, Jenoptik has established itself as a solid partner of the lighting industry. Jenoptik components and modules are used in various applications, starting with lighting at workplaces and offices, to lighting solutions for buildings, streets, bridges and public places, though ambient lighting in air planes.Light+Building, the world’s leading trade fair for Architecture and Technology, took place from 11 to 16 April 2010 in Frankfurt/Main. Energy efficiency was the main theme for more than 2,200 exhibiters which have presented their latest ideas and solutions for lighting, electrical engineering and home and building automation on more than 240,000 square meters of exhibition space.
