Halers EvoLED design scoops environmental Green Apple Award

Oct. 8, 2010
Date Announced: 08 Oct 2010 Halers Lighting has won a prestigious Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice thanks to its innovative energy efficient EvoLED. Using patented technology, the EvoLED luminaire design offers a far more efficient alternative to halogen. While using just 10% of the energy, EvoLED emits the same lighting output as a 50w halogen spotlight; thus, EvoLED saves energy, carbon emissions and the environment – not to mention the financial saving on running and maintenance costs. The awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an independent group dedicated to promoting the positive side of environmental endeavour. In addition to winning this award, Halers has also been named as a National Green Hero; as a result its EvoLED will be showcased around the world as an example of environmental best practice.Presentation of the award will take place on 15th November, at the House of Commons, and as a Green Apple Award winner, Halers has also been nominated to represent the UK on the international stage at the European Business Awards for the Environment.Mark Halton, Sales Director for Halers Lighting comments: “This is an excellent achievement for the company, as no one in the lighting industry has ever won a Green Apple Award before. It recognises the huge investment we’re making in developing low energy solutions for our customers and gives well deserved recognition to our Technical Department.”
