Designed in two wattages – 35W and 55W – the systems are available in 5600K, 5000K and new 4100K options. With both Type III and Type V distributions and 50,000-hour life (L70), the D6 Area Light LED Retrofit Kit is ideal for converting conventional fixtures using HID lamps to an environmentally preferable technology, which offers substantial energy and maintenance cost savings as well as dramatic improvements in light quality.In addition to reducing energy consumption by up to 68 percent, the second-generation D6 Area Light LED Retrofit Kit, with a small outer diameter of just 6.5 inches, is designed to fit within most existing area lighting fixtures and is suitable for most applications up to a 30-foot mounting height. With easy installation and mounting hardware included, the D6 Area Light LED Retrofit Kit offers additional savings in maintenance and replacement costs. The D6 Area Light LED Retrofit Kit also offers a greater reduction of light pollution, by eliminating upward light emission and enhancing light quality with better uniformity and color performance. Its smaller size is compatible with a wider variety of fixture types, including post top, shoebox and surface-mounted luminaires. This system is paired with the UL recognized, FCC compliant Osram Optotronic power supply for optimal performance, which has 85 percent efficiency and 0.9 power factor.
