This replaces AC-DC convertor or SMPS delivering a huge space saving advantage and allowing the control of total power with variable input voltage and input current without capacitors or inductors. The chip measures just 7mm by 7mm so the space saving advantages compared to a SMPS or AC-DC convertor are clear. The chip offers great power efficiency of 85-90% at 220V. It has low harmonic distortion combining with a high power factor of >0.99 and is also highly stable. Without passive components limiting life, this driver can achieve a life of 50,000 hours. This revolutionary chip will change the way power is driven to LEDs and will be available in the UK only through Uvox.
