LED analyser for colour and intensity testing of LEDs at extreme temperatures

Nov. 4, 2010
Date Announced: 04 Nov 2010 Feasa have announced a new range of LED Analysers for colour and brightness testing of LEDs at temperatures ranging from -65 degrees centigrade to +125 degrees centigrade.Normally testing LED's for long term performance at temperature extremes involves putting LEDs' in burn-in or environmental chambers and removing them after a certain period to test their optical performance.Using Feasa's new product range which has proprietary optical fiber and optical heads the LEDs' can be tested in-situ and realtime measurements can be performed on the LED's using logging software developed for this application.Applications for the led analysers include loaded printed circuit boards and end user products in both automotive and telecommunications applications. Also customers wishing to test lifetime performance and product degradation issues can benefit from this solution. The analysers are available with 6,10 or 20 channels,USB/RS232 interfaces and a facility to be daisychained for multiple channels up to 512 LED's.
