Nov. 2, 2010
Date Announced: 02 Nov 2010 Montreal, Canada - Concept Illumination, a leading Montreal-based LED lighting solutions provider today announced that they will be supplying McGill University with energy-saving, LED-based lighting. The announcement of McGill’s decision to opt for LED lighting fixtures comes just a few weeks after Concept Illumination revealed that they were supplying LED-based lighting to Concordia University. The application features 85 seven watt, warm white, PAR30 LED lamps for the University’s Gelber Law Library lobby, and acts as a pilot project for the University as they look to switch more of their lighting to efficient LED-based fixtures.Dennis Fortune, Sustainability Director at McGill University, stated, “Concept Illumination worked with us from the beginning of the project. We had a lot of questions, and we worked through various scenarios and products before deciding to move ahead with the project. The fixtures themselves are excellent – providing high-quality light while reducing our costs through significant energy savings. We also anticipate a big reduction in staff time required to replace bulbs. Concept Illumination provided added value during our decision making process with their support and assistance.”Daniel Herz, Concept Illumination Regional Sales Manager said, “McGill was really looking for a sustainable solution. They needed a product that would last, that was ecological and that would save them money over the long term.”More information about Concept Illumination LED-based lighting fixtures can be found on the company’s website: www.conceptillumination.com.
