Date Announced: 05 Nov 2010 With effect from 1 November 2010, Ledon Lighting Jennersdorf GmbH has been renamed Tridonic Jennersdorf GmbH. Originally founded in 2001 as Tridonic Optoelectronics GmbH, the Jennersdorf site is now the technology and innovation specialist for LED within the Zumtobel Group.The new name underlines the close relationship and the organisational link between Jennersdorf and Tridonic which markets the innovative LED components and modules from Jennersdorf to its customers worldwide. Since the spring of this year there has also been closer cooperation with Tridonic in the area of production. Tridonic’s magnetics plant in Fürstenfeld, just 15 km from Jennersdorf, is developing into Tri-donic Jennersdorf’s industrialisation partner and will be starting up the first production line for the automatic assembly of LED chains in mid-November.A brief portrait of TridonicTridonic, based in Dornbirn/Austria, develops, manufactures and markets control gear for a variety of light sources, lighting management systems, LED solutions and connecting technology.
