Date Announced: 02 Aug 2010 Nottingham, U.K. – CHAUVET®, a leading manufacturer of LED lighting, announces the arrival of the Q-Spot™ 260-LED and the Q-Spot™ 160-LED. The Q-Spot™ 260-LED is a moving yoke luminaire equipped with a 60-Watt white LED providing a hard-edged spot output, similar to a 250W discharge fixture, without the costly lamp changes or high energy consumption. The Q-Spot™160-LED is a moving yoke equipped with a powerful 20-watt white LED—comparable to a 150-watt fixture, with a lux measurement of 7,641 at one meter, which is 46 percent brighter than the Q-Spot™ 150-LED which it replaces.The Q-Spot™ series is designed for small- to medium-sized installations, as well as mobile applications, particularly those with low ceilings, where heat emissions may be a concern. Both fixtures are lightweight (Q-Spot™ 260-LED is 13.6 kg and the Q-Spot™ 160-LED is 6.1 kg) and feature long-life LED light sources, which mean less need to climb ladders for lamp changes and benefit in regard to energy efficiency. Additionally, it has a three-facet rotating prism, automatic pan/tilt correction and comes pre-programmed with built-in automated and sound-activated programs for a professional show without the work. The fixtures differ with DMX control channels (11- or 14-channels for the Q-Spot™ 260-LED and 9- or 12-channels for the Q-Spot™ 160-LED) due to their gobo and colour wheels. The Q-Spot™ 260-LED comes with two gobo wheels: one with seven rotating slot-n-lock gobos plus open; the other wheel with nine fixed gobos plus open. It also includes an eight-position-plus-white colour wheel for a multitude of bright and vivid colours. The Q-Spot™ 160-LED comes with one rotating gobo wheel with seven slot-n-lock gobos plus open and a colour wheel with nine slots plus white. Both fixtures feature a convenient access hatch allowing easy, tool-free gobo changes. CHAUVET®, a leader in LED lighting, opened a full-service sales and support office in the UK in March of 2010.
