Date Announced: 24 Aug 2010 The Positano from the RELCO Group UK has been designed to provide a low energy IP66 rated spotlight which is offered in two formats, LED and a mains voltage version utilizing a 50 Watt GU10 lamp. Being easy to install and cost effective, it is suitable for both commercial and residential applications as it can enhance any garden or exterior setting by highlighting the structural beauty of flowerbeds, trees, shrubs, ponds and architectural features including statues.The extra low voltage LED version uses tried and tested technology in the form of 3 x 1 Watt – 350 mA Luxeon LED modules. Offering a low energy solution it achieves an equivalent output of 20 Watts. By offering the benefit of greater energy efficiencies along with an extended lamp life of up to 50,000 hours, it minimizes on-going maintenance requirements to further reduce operating costs. The Luxeon modules also provide a powerful and controlled beam distribution pattern that produces a precise light source to highlight architectural features or product displays. These LEDs are offered in a choice of cool white and warm white, to achieve different lighting effects when illuminating a surface or object.Where required, the user can incorporate the RELCO Dim Powerled, making it possible to adjust luminosity in order to create more advanced lighting effects.Designed for ease of installation and maximum versatility, the Positano can be either surface mounted or installed in the ground. Each fitting is supplied complete with 3 metres of cable, a spike and wall bracket, and the chosen light source lamp module.
