DiCon LED achieves ISO certification

Date Announced: 25 Mar 2010

Richmond, CA -— DiCon LED received ISO 9001:2008 accreditation in January 2010, inheriting foundational quality features from parent company DiCon Fiberoptics for a guarantee of globally recognized high quality management standards.

With a proven quality management system in place, DiCon LED’s parent company DiCon Fiberoptics has been ISO recognized since the 1990s and AS9100B recognized since 2008. AS9100B is the more stringent standardized quality management system, specifically developed for the aerospace industry. Highlighting DiCon Fiberoptics’ commitment to excellence across its business, it was a natural step to extend ISO certification to its industrial LED lighting division, DiCon LED.

“Achieving ISO further affirms management commitment towards a robust business management system across all business entities. This further energizes our overall quest towards continuous improvement and customer satisfaction through innovation and superior product performance,” says Hoffman Cheung, Director of Quality Assurance.

By being ISO certified, DiCon LED fulfills requirements for process execution, quality management, and product quality. ISO even extends qualifications down to engineering and product design stages, giving customers absolute assurance and confidence that DiCon LED will consistently produce quality products with the customers’ needs in mind. Under ISO guidelines, DiCon LED will quickly develop products such as the already existing LED fiber optic illuminator for microscopy applications, to meet industrial market demands.
