October 26, 2006 – American Bright Optoelectronics introduced the BLF series of ultra-flux LEDs designed to meet the existing requirements of the automotive, signaling and sign industries. The industry standard footprint is available in a wide range of SAE/ECE & JIS approved colors to accommodate signaling and marker light applications. The package is completely RoHS and WEEE compliant making it suitable for products with global integration and use.The BLF series produces a typical luminous intensity of 5000mcd at 50mA in white with a viewing angle of 90 degrees. The 625nm super red version produces a typical luminous intensity of 1000mcd at 70mA with a viewing angle of 120 degrees making it ideal for brake and driving light applications. The 589nm yellow version produces a typical luminous intensity of 12,000mcd with a narrower viewing angle of 30 degrees making it ideal for signaling applications.
