Luminit announces extreme elliptical diffusers for LED spplications

Date Announced: 07 Dec 2006 Torrance, CA -– Luminit releases a line of extreme elliptical diffusers with high transmission efficiencies (>85%) that are ideal for homogenizing and diffusing LED strip lights.As LEDs are becoming brighter and more energy efficient, they are being used in more general lighting applications. Many of these applications require a homogenized light without glare or hot spots. Luminit diffusers can provide these advantages and eliminate the need for secondary optics. In the above photograph an LED lightline is partially covered with a 60Ox1O elliptical Light Shaping Diffuser(LSD). This LSD spreads the light 60O in the horizontal direction and 1O in the vertical direction, converting the linear point sources into a continuous line of light.
