Luminit Announces 5VA-Rated Monolithic Glass Light Shaping Diffuser for Outdoor and High Temperature Environments

Feb. 25, 2019
TORRANCE, CA - Luminit LLC (SIL booth 10618), a privately held high technology company specializing in fine optics and diffusers for the lighting industry, will introduce its 5VA-rated Monolithic Glass Light Shaping Diffuser at this year’s Strategies in Light show in Las Vegas, NV. Designed for outdoor architectural fixtures located in damp, outdoor and high temperature environments, these monolithic glass diffusers can be mass produced at a low per-piece cost.

“Our new monolithic glass diffusers meet the industry’s need for high-temperature, low-cost diffusers for MR16 lamps and outdoor fixtures,” notes Suleyman Turgut, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Luminit, LLC. “Plus, Luminit’s high-volume production capability dramatically reduces cost for high volume applications.”

Luminit’s Monolithic Glass Light Shaping Diffusers improve the beam quality and precisely control the beam angle of light sources in specification-grade lighting fixtures. Available in 1°, 5°, 20° and 30° angles, these glass plate diffusers are etched directly into float glass and meet 5VA low-ceiling and high-flammability requirements. According to the company, transmission rates are as high as 91% and because the diffusers are etched into float glass, there is no organic material or outgassing.

Luminit’s Monolithic Glass Light Shaping Diffusers can be cut according to customer specifications and standard thickness is 1.9mm with custom thicknesses available on request. For more information, contact [email protected]
