The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) selected the Foreverlamp HB 2 LED fixture with electronic control module (ECM) to replace the existing MH high bay fixtures at one of its' electrical distribution buildings on North Main Street in Los Angeles, CA. The low voltage ECM unit is an on-board manual control that adjusts driver and lumen levels below the HB 2 maximum operating specs of 205 W and 26,000 lumen. By under driving both the power supply and LED chips, additional energy savings occurs and fixture lifespan is extended. The ECM devise also eliminates lumen depreciation. As the LED chips loose efficiency after years of operation, the ECM is adjusted to the next setting and the light output returns to the original desired level.
