MEXICO CITY, March 5, 2019 — Seoul Semiconductor, a global innovator of LED products and technology, will participate in the annual Expo Lighting America conference and exhibit, the premier annual meeting for lighting professionals in Latin America, scheduled for March 5 – 7, 2019 in Mexico City. This year’s conference theme is “Go Green,” highlighting ELA’s commitment to environmental sustainability, with the goal of neutralizing the event’s ecological footprint.
Seoul Semiconductor will feature its comprehensive range of LED innovations, including the SunLike Series natural spectrum LEDs, based on a new technology that produces light closely matching the spectrum of natural sunlight. Introduced in June 2017, the SunLike Series LED technology was co-developed through the combination of Seoul Semiconductor’s optical semiconductor technology and Toshiba Materials’ TRI-R1 technology, which defines its original concept as “the light closest to the sun for human well-being.” TRI-R technology enables the spectrum of natural sunlight to be reproduced by a white LED light source. The company believes that the SunLike Series LEDs represent a revolution in the quality of light by creating natural spectrum lighting in an LED, contributing to healthier life for humans.
Also on display at ELA will be Seoul’s NanoDriver and MicroDriver Series LED drivers – which feature a unique power topology that results in smaller size, increased efficiency and lower costs – with power densities up to 10X higher than conventional LED drivers. The NanoDriver Series, rated for 16W and 24W, are the industry’s smallest LED drivers at just 13.5mm2. The MicroDriver Series miniature LED drivers are designed for LED lighting fixtures from 900 to 2400 lumens, with a miniature package that enables the integration of the control circuitry with the external driver, making it possible to mount more light sources on the module, or reduce the size of the module.
Seoul will also showcase its Horticultural Series LEDs, a comprehensive range of horticultural-optimized LEDs that span the light spectrum from multiple ultraviolet bands (UV-A, UV-B & UV-C), as well as into far-red bands (~700nm to 800nm), providing horticultural lighting designers with the capability to develop a wide range of light sources to enhance the growth and propagation of different types of vegetables and plants in indoor settings. Seoul Semiconductor delivers a complete spectrum of advanced solid state light sources used for growing plants from ultraviolet (UV-C) to far-red.
Seoul Semiconductor will exhibit in Booth #1041 at Expo Lighting America on March 5 – 7, 2018 at the Centro Citibanamex, located in Mexico City.
About Expo Lighting America:
Expo Lighting America is the annual meeting where designers, architects, consumers, government representatives and lighting specifiers acquire first-hand experience of the trends and innovations in design and technology that enhance their knowledge and inspire new creations. As the annual meeting for lighting professionals in Latin America, ELA offers an international community of leading brands in lamps, lights, components and control systems an opportunity to create and strengthen relationships with a broad variety of high-level professional visitors with decision-making and specification authority.
