Lightronics applies LEDline & LEDrail on two projects in the Netherlands

Feb. 19, 2009
Date Announced: 19 Feb 2009 Lightronics from Waalwijk (the Netherlands), our privileged partner, recently realized two projects with our LEDline & LEDrail products. LEDline and LEDrail are waterproof (IP67) and shockresistant (4xIK10) linear LED lighting. In the city of Eindhoven, 2 cyclist and pedestrian bridges over the Beatrixkanaal were equipped with LEDrail lighting into the handrail to enlighten the bridge deck. LEDrail with white LEDs were chosen. The LEDrail are built into a metal tube of 60mm diameter. The LEDrail lighting is the only lighting on the bridges and sufficient to enlighten the bridge deck. The total power consumption for the 2 bridges is limited to 360 Watts! In a second project, “Korvelse Hofjes” at Tilburg (the Netherlands), LEDlines were used in different colours as a decorative lighting. The LEDlines are built into the ceiling of ground floor walk-throughs. The application of different colours give a unique aspect to the individual areas. LEDlines with a fixed colour as well as LEDlines with RGB LEDs are used in this project. The LEDtechnic RGB LEDlines and LEDrails are driven by the DMX protocol with RDM (remote device management). This enables the addressing through the cables so that units don’t have to be dismanteled.
