PerkinElmer’s new LED fiber optic illuminator offers an energy efficient, maintenance-free alternative to halogen-based and metal-halide fiber optic illuminators and is the latest addition to the Company’s range of capabilities for medical and industrial lighting. The LED illuminator uses a proprietary optical light engine designed to couple high intensity white light into 3-10 mm fiber optic bundles for applications including endoscopy, microscopy, and machine vision.
