Neil Bostock joins Bridgelux as Chief Financial Officer

Date Announced: 14 Jul 2009 -- Bridgelux Captures Seasoned LED Industry Professional for Executive Management Team SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Bridgelux, Inc., a U.S. lighting company and leading supplier of energy-saving light-emitting diode (LED)-based light sources, today announced that Neil Bostock has joined Bridgelux as chief financial officer. Bostock will be responsible for managing all finance and administrative functions, reporting directly to Bridgelux CEO, Mark Swoboda. “As chief financial officer, Neil brings deep LED industry experience and the vision to help grow Bridgelux into a world-class solid-state lighting company,” said Mark Swoboda, Bridgelux chief executive officer. “Since expanding our product portfolio this year to include solid-state light sources incorporating LED technology, we face the challenge of growing our resources and global infrastructure to support expanding market demand in fast growing interior and exterior application areas such as street lights, track and downlights. Neil is uniquely qualified to help us manage through the high growth changes faced by a high technology company.” Neil Bostock comes to Bridgelux with over 35 years’ experience in finance and 19 years of experience with LED and semiconductor manufacturing. Prior to joining Bridgelux, Bostock served as CFO at Philips Lumileds. He joined the company when it was a newly constituted joint venture between Philips and Hewlett Packard/Agilent in 1999. He helped to build the company’s infrastructure and identity as an independent company and transition the organization from steep losses to profitability. Bostock continued at Philips Lumileds through the acquisition of the joint venture by Philips, remaining until the end of 2008. From 1994 to 1999, Bostock served as Business Group Controller for the Philips Semiconductor Multi Market Business Group based in Sunnyvale, Calif. The business group grew to annual revenues of approximately $1 billion with worldwide markets and wafer fabs in North America, Europe and Asia. Before 1994, Bostock, worked at the Power Division of Philips Semiconductors based in Hazel Grove, England as Business Group Controller where he was responsible for the worldwide activities of the $200 million business unit with a wafer fab in England and assembly in the Philippines. Between 1970 and 1989, Bostock served in senior finance positions at several electronics and engineering companies.
