Date Announced: 19 Oct 2009 First, the company has doubled its space. By taking on an additional building and knocking down some walls, we now have a little room for additional inventory and to accommodate our growing sales staff. Company President Marcel Fairbairn says "we were literally busting at the seams to a point where not only were we short on desks, but we had nowhere for people to park! We are hoping this new location gets us through the next two years, however we're keeping an eye open for more space already". Speaking of new staff, the company has added three key people in the past couple of weeks alone. Timm Stifter joins LED Source from Gear-Source, where he was a multi-tasking sales support manager for the past 3 years. Timm takes on the role of the growing sales support structure in LED Source, while also over-seeing some of the logistical wizardry that allows LED Source to get inventory in the hands of their customers when they need it. Next, LED Source is proud to have filled the newly created role of Retrofit Sales Director with the hiring of Eric Hansel. Eric's background includes a great deal of expertise in Retrofit and Energy Efficient lighting technologies, most recently LED. With over 15 years of industrial and commercial lighting experience, Eric brings a wealth of knowledge from the manufacturing, distribution as well as Rep Agency side of the business. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Eric has spoken at numerous Energy Efficient Lighting Conferences, Seminars and Trade Shows, as well as been involved with some of the largest lighting projects across the country, specifically in Southeast Michigan.LED Source has made another key hire in a VP role - watch for the specifics in an upcoming release, coinciding with another BIG announcement!
