LightWild ships 21,000 m of LED fixtures for Dubai Metro Project Red Line

Date Announced: 26 Mar 2009 LightWild today announced it has shipped more than 21,000 meters of its 1-meter Junior Linear LED fixtures for use on the exterior façade of 23 Red Line stations of the Dubai Metro Project. The LED fixtures illuminate the fins in the external cladding of the above-ground stations.The Dubai Metro will be the longest fully automated rail system in the world with a total of 70 kilometers (43 mi) of lines and 47 stations, including 9 underground stations. The Red Line and a second Green Line will run underground in the city center and on elevated viaducts.LightWild’s distributor in the UAE, Gargash Lighting Systems LLC, supplied the Junior Linear product for the Dubai Metro project, which is scheduled to begin operating in September 2009.
