Date Announced: 08 Feb 2012 Beijing -- Beijing-based U-Tron Electronics won the project tender for providing and installing a complete indoor lighting solution in a new Tesco Store in Beijing. Tesco (the world’s third largest retailer) currently has 5386 stores worldwide with 105 stores in China, and this will be Tesco’s fourth store in Beijing. A drive that Tesco has undertaken to demonstrate the first of a kind “low carbon foot print” not only by using LED technology lighting but also the very first Super Market in China for demonstrating CO2 based cooling system. U-Tron is a customer-oriented innovative solution provider for Lighting and worked very closely with Tesco to re design the existing lighting using the LED technology without disturbing the ambivalence that has been developed by Tesco over many years to bring the best shopping experience to their customers. This new store is planned to be the highest energy saving store with an annual energy consumption saving rate of 33%. The additional savings on energy will be directly beneficial for the consumer not only in the financial aspect, but also in the whole shopping experience.
