Date Announced: 28 Feb 2012 Jack Josefowicz (Executive Vice-President, Technology Solutions, LED Roadway Lighting Ltd.) has recently been named as a Technical Committee Representative by the World Road Association (WRA) (http://www.piarc.org/en). Dr. Josefowicz will work within the Climate Change and Sustainability Committee (TC 1.3) during the 2012-2015 period.The World Road Association was formed in 1909. According to their website, the objectives of the organization include providing an international forum to discuss sustainable road and road transport issues, and developing best practices and tools for decision making on matters related to roads and transport. The Climate Change and Sustainability Committee is engaged in issues related to the sustainability of transportation infrastructure. Dr. Josefowicz will be attending, and presenting a paper at, the upcoming committee meeting in Paris.
